Manny Arzate

Manny Arzate is a 24-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and is a veteran of the United States Navy. Having traveled worldwide added to my expertise in foreign and domestic terrorism. His career with the LAPD has primarily been in operations with expertise in patrol operations, gangs, undercover crime suppression and surveillance, supervision in operations and as a watch commander.

Throughout his career, he has held various work assignments that has added to his expertise. His most recent was watch commander at Transit Services Division where he was responsible for the day-to-day security and crime suppression for all train and bus operations for the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) throughout the City of Los Angeles. He has developed and implemented strategies to combat terrorist attacks within the public transportation system of the greater Los Angeles area.

Manny is a subject matter expert in Critical Site Threat Assessment, he has acquired subject matter expert in Command and Control, leadership development, field operations in critical incidents, surveillance, Crisis Negotiation Response, Mental Health Intervention, Workplace Violence and Active Shooter Training and Response.

His training and education are in, foreign terrorism, Homemade Explosives: Awareness, Recognition, and Response, Multi Assault Counter Terrorism Action Capability (MACTAC), Immediate Action Rapid Deployment (IARD) .

Nicholas “Nick” Milazzo

Nicholas “Nick” Milazzo is a 27-year veteran with the Los Angeles Police Department. His training and experience are comprised of patrol, Gangs, narcotics, surveillance, undercover operations, counter-surveillance, Field Training Officer, K9 handler, field Supervisor in patrol, Gangs, Metropolitan Division, and is currently a Squad Leader, within the Special Weapons and Tactics team to provide leadership and supervisory oversight for all SWAT incidents which includes armed barricaded suspect, suicidal subjects, hostage incidents and service of high-risk search warrants. On average he has the responsibility to the response, assessment, and conclusion of approximately 150 deployments per year. 75 percent of which are spontaneous, and 25 percent are preplanned events such as warrant service. His duties are to provide
supervisory oversight and command/control of various tactics utilized with every incident. He has also managed personnel, equipment, and has overseen specialty cadres such as explosive breaching, defensive tactics (less lethal and chemical agents), firearms training and snipers.

Nick is a Subject matter Expert in Special Weapons and Tactics, Crisis Negotiation, Hostage Rescue, High Profile Dignitary Protection, K9 operations and deployment, and surveillance. Administratively, he provides guidance and instruction to sworn personnel outside of Metropolitan Division such as the Basic Supervisor Course, Communications Basic Course, and tactical training for geographic gang units.

Nick has received numerous meritorious honors throughout his career with the Los Angeles Police Department which includes Meritorious Unit Citation (K9 Unit), Los Angeles Police Department Major Commendations, and over one-hundred Los Angeles Police Department Minor Commendations.

His teaching experiences include Basic and Advanced SWAT tactics, Crisis Negotiations and de-escalation techniques throughout the United States and abroad.

He holds certificates in Basic, Advanced and Supervisory California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST)

Mark Jackson

Mark Jackson is a 34-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department. His training and expertise comprises of patrol operations, specialized units such as Gangs, Metropolitan Division, Internal Affairs Investigator, SWAT experience as both an officer and a supervisor. Mark’s experience and training include responding to riots, natural disasters, and unusual occurrences. Conducted service of certain search and arrest warrants, stakeouts, and support and protection for emergency units when under attack of sniper fire or when such gunfire is anticipated. Supplemented U.S. Secret Service and U.S. Department of State to provide security for visiting dignitaries. Developed tactics to address specific provocative incidents and trained personnel in the use of these tactics. He is a Subject matter Expert in Special Weapons and Tactics, Crisis Negotiation, Hostage Rescue, High Profile Dignitary Protection, Command and Control of critical incidents.

Mark currently serves as the Los Angeles Police Department’s senior SWAT Sergeant. His role is to provide leadership and administrative oversight for all SWAT functions and deployments. he has leadership oversight and advisement on approximately 150 incidents per year, of which approximately 75 percent are spontaneous incidents involving armed barricaded suspects, hostage rescue, and suicidal subjects. The remaining 25 percent are the service of high-risk warrants. He is the lead supervisor in-charge of the Crisis Negations Team (CNT). The team’s primary responsibility is to bring critical incidents to a peaceful resolution, reduce the intensity of violence and attempt to minimize or eliminate the need to use force.

Mark has received numerous meritorious honors throughout his career with the Los Angeles Police Department which includes Los Angeles Police Department’s Medal of Valor, Los Angeles Police Department’s Police Star, Multiple Police Commission Unit citations, Los Angeles Police Department Major Commendations, and over one-hundred Los Angeles Police Department
Minor Commendations.

Mark earned his Associates Degree in 1988 from Mt. San Antonio College, Walnut, Ca. His teaching experiences include Basic and Advanced SWAT tactics, Crisis Negotiations and de-escalation techniques throughout the United States and abroad.

Mike Glenn

Mike Glenn is a 28-year career professional with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), retiring as a Sergeant II in 2023.  Before lateraling to the LAPD, he served as a Deputy Sheriff with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department (SBSD) working different assignments such as custody, transportation, and Gang Task Forces.

Mike’s training and experiences are comprised of Patrol, Metropolitan Division (Metro), Specialized Units (Gang Units, Narcotics Units, Special Problems Unit, Bike Units), Field Training Officer, and Sergeant.

During his years at Metro, Mike was assigned to several line platoons, the Archangel Task Force-Critical Site Assessment for the City of Los Angeles, and the Dignitary Protection Detail.

The line platoons for Metro focused on the following: crime suppression in high crime areas, bank stakeouts, robbery details; undercover/plain clothes details, mobile field force demonstration, VIP protection details, served search warrants, protection details, and collaborating with detectives on high profile investigations.

The Archangel Task Force examined the City of Los Angeles’s infrastructure and provided ways to help make the City of Los Angeles, utility companies, and businesses more secure.

The Metro Dignitary Protection Detail safeguards the LAPD Chief of Police, the City of Los Angeles Mayor, and the Los Angeles City Attorney.  The Dignitary Protection Detail works closely with the US Secret Service, the US State Department, and Local, County, and State Law Enforcement Agencies. 

Mike was part of the Metropolitan Division / Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Cadre.

Mike worked a variety of job assignments; Central Bureau Narcotics Unit (FES), 4 Gang Units, a Special Problems Unit, Central Hype Unit, 3 Bike Units, South Bureau Training Cadre (Tactics, Mobile Field Force), Metropolitan Division Training Cadre (Mobile Field Force, Tactics), Hollywood Training Cadre (Tactics, Shooting), assigned as Watch Commander for South Bureau and Central Bureau Divisions and Transit Services Division.  During the last few years of work, Mike was the Officer in Charge of the LAPD Transit Services Division Senior Lead Unit.

Mike graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Western Michigan University (1990).  Mike obtained a Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, and Supervisors California Police Officers Standards Training (POST) Certificate. He graduated from the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute (SLI) Class of 374, California Peace Officers Standards of Training (2016). Mike completed the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) school (2005). He completed the California Police Officers Standards of Training (POST) Dignitary Protection class.  Mike completed the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) training for the FEMA Incident Command System (2018).

During his 28 years of service with the LAPD, Mike received the following commendations:

  • Awarded a Police Meritorious Unit Citation in 1996 on a Gang/ Narcotics Task Force.
  • Awarded a Community Policing Medal in 2000, Hollywood Gang Unit.
  • Awarded Bureau Commendation for Immediate Action Rapid Response Deployment in 2002, Metropolitan Division.
  • Awarded Police Meritorious Unit Citation in 2009, Operation Arch Angel Program.
  • Awarded Police Meritorious Citation in 2018 LAPD Transit Services Division (TSD).
  • Mike also received 127 minor commendations.

Kosal Bun

Kosal Bun is a 26-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). Kosal understands cultural diversity and evolving social dynamics. He is still an active LEO working with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office. His career with the LAPD has primarily been in operations with expertise in patrol operations, gangs and guns, undercover crime suppression, surveillance, supervision in operations and as a watch commander, and Mental evaluation with crisis negotiation tactics.

Throughout his career, he has held various work assignments that have added to his expertise. An expert veteran investigator and supervisor at Detective Support and Vice Division (DSVD), Mental Evaluation Unit where he was responsible for Systemwide Mental Abuse Response Team (SMART) responding to crisis calls to assist patrol with his expertise throughout the City of Los Angeles. He has developed and implemented crisis intervention approach for mental health and law enforcement system of the greater Los Angeles area. He’s provided training to sworn and civilians on mental health and crisis.

Kosal is a subject matter expert in Crisis Threat Assessment, he has acquired subject matter expert in Command and Control, leadership development, field operations in critical incidents, surveillance, Crisis Negotiation Response, expert in Mental Health Intervention, Workplace Violence and Active Shooter Training and Response. He has been certified in court as a firearms expert and Carry Conceal weapon laws.

His training and education are in, foreign terrorism, Homemade Explosives: Awareness, Recognition, and Response, Multi Assault Counter Terrorism Action Capability (MACTAC), Immediate Action Rapid Deployment (IARD).

Kosal certifications in the California Peace Officer Standards Training Certificates are as follows: Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced. He has a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from California Coast University.
